Many of you have heard me talk about the Saint Louis Color Run. If you'd like to run with my team you can go here. The run is on April 27th! Just 5 days after my birthday!

You want to check that you are running with a team.
That teams name is Tennis shoes and Tiaras
and the password for the group is BeccaBirthday
The entry fee will go up after the 15th of November.

Add a comment if you are on my team!

ALSO,
We are raising money for Autism Speaks you can donate to our cause here and please do so instead of giving me any birthday gifts.

If you have any questions feel free to ask! I'm super excited and I'm sure I'll be bringing it up a lot before and after!!

Baking: Desert: Monkey Bread

It's super bowl Sunday! If you have a house full of yelling dudes or if you've never even watched football, let me introduce you to a quick and easy snack/ desert.

You can make your own bread dough from scratch or buy some biscuits in a can. Either way it's an amazing result.

Take the dough and roll a zillion little balls.

Take a bowl and put a cup of sugar in it. Add 2-4 tablespoons of cinnamon. Mix well
Roll the little balls in the mixture. Put them in a baking dish where they have plenty of room to expand. (The first picture is an example of not enough room. That's why I moved it to the second dish.)

Now melt 3/4 cup of unsalted butter in a separate dish. You can do it on the stove or in the microwave. Once the butter is completely melted mix in 1 and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Once you have a syrupy mixture pour it all over what is in your baking dish. (See the middle picture) Doesn't that just look mouth watering!!

I'm a huge cinnamon and sugar fan so I dumped the left overs all over the top of the syrup. MMMMMMMM

Bake at 350 for 20-40 mins. It should be stiff like bread not spongy like cake. My homemade bread took about 50 mins.

Baking: Super bowl food: BBQ Chicken

The superbowl is nearly upon us. If you're looking for some delicious but effortless food, you're in luck.

Let me introduce you to the easiest BBQ chicken you'll ever make.

You will need:
Slow Cooker
4-8 large chicken breasts (really as many as you can submerge beneath the sauce)
1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

Empty your BBQ sauce into the slow cooker. If you want put some hot water into the nearly empty bottle and shake it up and then add the BBQ water mixture to the slow cooker.

Throw in as many chicken breasts as you can. They can be thawed or frozen. Both seem to work fine and the extra water will help keep them all moist. Not to mention they are swimming in BBQ sauce.

Turn it on low-medium (depending on what settings you have) for about 6 hours.

When you have one hour left, shred up the chicken with a fork.

That's all there is too it. I got this idea from pinterest. If you want to see the orginal pin, click here.
