Review: Diamond Candles

I had seen Diamond Candles featured on Sneak Peeq several times. I'd always thought they would make fantastic gifts. I ordered 3 for Christmas. One for my aunt, on for Andrew's mom and one for his sister. While I didn't get to see Melissa melt her candle, I got to see the result of Andrew's mom and sister's candles.

If you aren't familiar with Diamond Candles let me fill you in. Diamond Candles are soy candles. They smell completely amazing, but what really makes them special is that they contain a Diamond RING!!

They wrap it in foil so it won't be hard to clean. You can see the gold foil inside your candle.

The diamond could be worth anywhere from $10 - $5,000.

They put the piece of foil right up against the glass. It lets you know how far down you need to burn your candle before you can retrieve your ring. Waiting for your candle to burn down could take hours, unless you are handy with a butter knife like these two lovely ladies.

Every ring that was pulled from a candle was stunning.

All and all it was a lot of fun. There was lots of Ooooh-ing and Ahhh-ing.

Before I knew it everyone was talking about buying Diamond Candles for birthdays and such. This was a smashing hit!

 We alway have a massive fried feast before Grandpa reads the Christmas story right out the bible.

Isaac opened my dad's gift. It's a camo bucket with a cushioned spin top. Isaacs new favorite toy. 

 My mom bought some of those Christmas poppers with the paper crowns.

I love this picture, but I promise I will be done with Christmas pictures before February. 

Review: Go Picnic

My mom gave these out as Christmas presents. We all got more excited than we should have, but they are completely amazing! As you can see on the packaging this one is dairy, nut, and gluten free.

On the back it tells you what you'll be eating. This one is sunbutter and crackers. They have a multitude of flavors. I don't think any of them require refrigeration. They are amazingly handy.

Also I like witty boxes. Once you've opened the box you can close it again, kind of like a cereal box.

Here is what I got. I tried to look up these individual items, but most of them don't come in this serving size. I wanted to give you a how much you're saving/ spending, but that didn't quite work out.

The inside is full of facts and games. The price depends on the contents. Most of them range from around $4-$7.

 Toby may be the families dog, but he loves Ben the most.

HTS: Coffee from a Teavanna Perfect Teamaker

I had let Andrew borrow my french press and was wanting to make a lot of coffee. Normally I brew in a keurig, but I wanted my coffee a little stronger. What to do? Well I happened to spy my Teavanna perfect tea maker and had the idea. Why not try it! The taste was perfect. It clogged a little when the water was draining but I just swished it around and it all worked out ok. Thought this could help my fellow tea and coffee drinkers in a pinch. Have you ever had to MacGyver some coffee? What did you do?

 I feel like this should be scientific experiment. How many young adults can sit at a table before they start making up games. This one turned into bounce the peppermints into the candle holder. It nearly got violent.

 I guess if you're one you can open what ever when ever, because you are that adorable.

 Oh and steal peoples water.... haha. Isaac is a sneaky one.

 The way we do this Christmas: everyone buys a gift valued around $5 and then we pass them out. Some years we play games to accomplish this or sometimes we just pass out gifts. You never know what you are going to get. Then we have some for the kids gifts or for the family gifts. Since it is our extended family we just have a nice chill Christmas. It's always nice to catch up with everyone.
