Andrew and I went on a double date with Rachel and Westly. Indian food is so misleading. It looks unfamiliar even though I'm familiar with the ingredients. In the words of Lumiere from beauty and the beast "Try the grey stuff. It's delicious!"
We want on Friday for lunch when they have a buffet. We filled our plates with this foreign deliciousness.
For those who haven't had Indian food, I would say the spices are reminiscent of mexican food. There can be a lot of spices but not the kind with heat.

There were two kinds of rice so I had to try them both.
This is called Chana Saag and it's my new favorite. It's two main ingredients are spinach and chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans). It's completely delicious.
It's also good on rice.
This is Tikka Masala. It's chicken with some amazing spices. It's hard to photograph something when you just want to gobble it up.
I didn't catch the name of this dessert. It's like a doughnut hole soaked in a sugar water sauce. Are you salivating yet?
Jewel of India only has buffet on Fridays, but I'd recommend buffet for any beginner at Indian food.
YUUUUUSSSSSS. I've been to Sitar in Nashville a couple times, but I DO miss Jewel of India oh-so-much. Tell Ramnessh I said "heeeeyyyy" next time you and Andrew hit up the buffet (which needs to be SOON)!
