Review: Movie: The Darkest Hour

I was really excited when I heard about this movie. Invisible aliens?! Awesome!

When they go by something that uses electricity it  lights up. People start using light bulbs as alien detectors.

When people get destroyed by aliens it looks like this. Very War of the Worlds. This movie is going to be so good!

It wasn't. The movie was over all pretty boring. The characters weren't interesting. It was set in Moscow, but not really for any reason. I don't know of any Moscow landmarks and so when they were mentioned off hand I didn't know how close or far it was. The main characters are all Americans. The aliens hit the whole world. The fact it's set in Russia is just distracting.

It's pretty predictable, but it doesn't matter because after the first 10 minutes you already don't care about any of the characters, because they aren't likeable. 

It really isn't worth the watch. Have you seen it? Did you like it?
