Review: iPad: PicCollage

I recently bought an iPad from one of Andrew's friends. It's barely left my hands since. I've been thinking of good ways to start this blog back up, but I don't always have time for the graphic design I'd like to incorporate. Putting up stand alone pictures is great, but I was wanting a little something more. Then I discovered the iPad app PicCollage. It's a mix between a scrapbooking app and a photo editing app. It makes fantastic collages that you will be seeing a lot of.

Starting a new collage is very intuitive and just makes sense. You can tap anywhere to add a picture OR double tap to pull up a menu.  In this case I added a background from the set of backgrounds that PicCollage came with

Since I already have an image on my page, I prefer to tap the camera button to pull up a menu. Occasionally when I double tap the background image is adjusted.

You can choose as many as 12 photos at once. In this instance I just picked a photo of Rory.

You can resize the image with pinch to zoom style hand gestures. If you decide that you don't need the photo, you can fling it off the page (the top right).

Maybe you want to adjust the image you have. If you double tap on an image, you can see an image menu.

You can do some simplified color correction or apply effects

When you think you've found perfection simply tap the bottom right button to pull up the share menu. From there you can caption it, send it to facebook, twitter, by email, or postcard. If that's all a bit much you can simply save to library.

Glad to be back! Guess I just needed a summer break. If you like this so much you want to   , GO FOR IT! Read on my friends!
