At the beginning of 2012 I made the resolution to not cut my hair. It was easy at first but by the time that winter rolled around, I was about to go mad. Here is my progress from beginning to end. This is how long my hair was when I started.
Here it is a few weeks before the new year, around Christmas time.
It grew and grew, for what feels like forever. I snapped this before shot in Studio Day Spa in Carbondale, moments before the chopping began. It went from barely shoulder length to my shoulder blades.
I'd found this picture on pinterest and fell in love with idea of an a-line bob. I had to have one!
You may ask who is this blond godess? Why it's my friend Rachel. She is the one who suggested the salon. She is much more pickier than I am when it comes to hair. Our hairdresser was adorable and easy to converse with. If you do try Studio Day Spa in Carbondale, ask for Katie!!
Also see all the hair on the floor behind Rachel? That is ALL mine! :P
Did you make any big 2013 changes?
I'm still SO impressed that you went a whole year without cutting your hair! It got turbolong! I absolutely lived vicariously through your stylish, angled bob and I think the color suited your complexion, but immediately after and even after it began to fade. It's hard to believe it's already been a couple months since our appointments. I'll be itching to go again pretty soon for a trim! Any idea what you'll wanna do on your next salon visit?
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time in a long time where I've been ok with roots and still want to keep the same hair cut a month or two later. I think if I went back, I have it trimmed up and maybe dye it more brown. I just can't keep away from switching colors.
